Global Tech Inclusion Network
Gender and Tech Access Program

Promoting gender equality and inclusive access to technology for sustainable community development.

The Gender and Tech Access Program is dedicated to bridging the gender digital divide and ensuring equitable access to technology for women, girls, and marginalized communities. The program focuses on creating inclusive pathways for underrepresented groups particularly in rural and underserved areas to meaningfully engage with and benefit from the digital world.

Through a blend of digital skills training, mentorship, and access to internet infrastructure and tech tools, the program empowers communities to use technology for personal and collective growth. It also advocates for gender-responsive and inclusive tech policies and practices, amplifying the voices of those historically excluded from digital spaces.

By removing structural barriers and promoting equitable access to opportunities through technology and innovation, the Gender and Tech Access Program seeks to build a diverse, inclusive, and thriving digital ecosystem where all individuals, regardless of gender or background, can actively participate, innovate, and lead in the digital age.

Climate Justice and Digital Resilience Program:

Empowering communities through gender-responsive digital innovation for climate justice and resilience.

The Climate Justice and Digital Resilience program harnesses the power of data, technology, and innovation to strengthen the capacity of women, youth, and marginalized communities to adapt to and respond to the growing impacts of climate change. Grounded in the understanding that climate justice is inseparable from digital inclusion, gender justice, and social equity, this program promotes equitable access to climate information, green technologies, and digital tools that enable community-driven climate adaptation, mitigation, and advocacy.
GTIN works closely with rural and underserved communities to raise awareness on climate-related risks, promote the use of gender-disaggregated data for climate action, and foster locally-led innovation through sustainable ICT solutions.  At its core, the program is gender-responsive, ensuring that women and girls are not only protected from the disproportionate effects of climate change but are also empowered as leaders, innovators, and decision-makers in building resilient, climate-smart digital communities.

Data and Innovations Program:

Leveraging data to drive innovation and improve inclusion for social change.

This program emphasizes the critical role of data in identifying gaps and opportunities within the tech ecosystem. It focuses on collecting, analysing, and utilizing data to develop innovative solutions that address challenges related to diversity and digital inclusion. The program supports initiatives that use data insights to inform and guide the creation of new technologies and practices that promote equitable technological access. By integrating data with innovation, this program aims to develop strategies that advance inclusivity in technological access and usage and drive positive changes within communities.
